Critic Reviews

"A police procedural that delights the reader with a strong sense of place. Tartan Noir at its best." (Sarah Ward, author of In Bitter Chill)

Intrigue.

The way in which the story is woven adds intrigue and careful listening. Whilst the characters are well rounded the manner in which the plot is woven gives the reader many guesses at the conclusion. Just when I thought it was going to finish in some sort of romance the weaving continues. A great novel.

Wildly chauvinistic writing

An otherwise ok story though. Performance is a little overdone, but not distractingly so. Odd that there are so few Scottish characters for a book set in Scotland!

Robbing The Dead

Interesting plot bringing in extremists from both N. Ireland and Wales. The reader brings the characters to life.

Unfinishable.

Melodramatic narration, saved from a one star by very good accents. Unbelievable story. Just awful.
