About this listen

I know what I want. So when opportunity knocked, I took it. I grabbed my shot, willing to do anything to make it happen. From the beginning, I knew I was destined to be with the six-foot-four, bourbon-eyed Rock God. Only back in the early days, he wasn’t a god.

Rhys Granger was my brother’s friend, the boy next door who wrote verses and played his guitar in our garage. He was talented. Exciting. Damaged. The kind of guy who made all the girls cry…. Except for me. I thought I was special. Turns out I’m not. And now…I despise him.

He’s the lead singer of the Stuffed Muffins, one of the biggest bands in the world, with dark hair, full lips, and a body to die for. Unfortunately, he’s a dick. Not that I care anymore. I have my own career. I’m successful in my own right.

So when offered another once-in-a-lifetime opportunity, I turn it down. But the universe has other plans, and I’m forced back into the savagely glamorous world of rock ‘n’ roll. Thrust into battling his seductive smile, his dangerous kisses, and my own addictive needs.

He might be a Rock God, but he’s also a man. And I’m the woman he never saw coming.

I'm sorry, this wasn't for me.

I nearly DNF'd this a number of times but I ended up just skipping chunks of the audio to make it hurry up. The only part of this book I connected with was the panic attack on the plane, the rest just drove me bonkers.

2 very overused phrases within- 'let's be honest' and 'she’s my muse'.
So let's be honest- Gia was incredibly naïve and immature. She didn't appear to grow up at all during this book she just continued to make the same mistakes over and over again.
Rhys has soo much past trauma that he hasn't dealt with and had no revelations about so I honestly can't see how he'd grow in a relationship. Also how can she be your muse when you've 'only just met' because you don't remember who she is.

Also, their manager is an enabler. How these guys don't have cirrhosis I don't know because they only drink alcohol and they're on soo many drugs it's not funny and this has been going on for the best part of 15yrs! They would look like 50yo men not 35.

The narrators- Sarah sounded bored, she the brat perfected. Troy had the perfect rockstar voice.

Something went wrong. Please try again in a few minutes.
