Exceptional writing and narration.
My favourite author with the narration it deserves. It really is a movie for the ears and mind. It still amazes me how CJ Cherryh builds a vision of the world with so few words. As usual her characters are normal people in a future culture, with limited choices and facing difficult situations, both physical, mental and social.
