Publisher's Summary
Summer is heating up for reluctant psychic Riley Thorn and her handsome private investigator boyfriend, Nick Santiago. First, her disapproving grandmother arrives determined to make Riley take her powers seriously or face the wrath of “the Guild”. Then there’s the homicide detective, who needs her help figuring out who murdered the well-dressed corpse in the walk-in closet.
Nick’s got his own hands full with a tricky missing person case, and his parents who want to know why he didn’t tell them about his live-in girlfriend. Then there’s the fact that he’s still the tiniest bit stressed about Riley almost getting murdered earlier that summer. The last thing he wants is her getting involved in another investigation.
Things go from bad to worse when the body count starts stacking up, the meet-the-parents dinner goes horribly wrong, and their elderly roommate is up to no good...dressed like a mime.
To top it off, Riley is forced to return to Channel 50 on official police business to question her spray-tanned news anchor ex-husband and his new weather girl fiancée.
The trouble comes to a head when Riley receives a warning from the killer: Back off, or she’s next. Someone has to solve these murders before she becomes the next corpse.

Glittering success!
First off: Natalie Duke, you are a friggin' rock star!! Your narration of this story was absolutely flawless. Thank you for making listening such a great experience.
And thank you Lucy Score for writing yet another laugh out loud, snort tea through your nose story. I SO love Riley and Nick and all their crazy friends.
For those who have not yet been introduced to Riley Thorn I would suggest that you start with the first book in the series. It's not necessary to enjoy this second book but will give you a really good intro into all the characters who inhabit this story. Then sit back and enjoy!

Gold star to the narrator
There were many comedy sitcom type situations with cameo roles for secondary characters.
Some were relevant to the plot and others not.
Riley was distracted by her fear of being recognised and harassed by the media, from the first story.
She had difficulty concentrating on her ESP role.
Nicks and Riley’s burgeoning love was also a distraction.
The narrator carried this book.

Bloody love this series Lucy Score
I read this on kindle and now listened to it on audible, happy to pay twice if it funds Score to write more of this! The ensemble of characters is hilarious, I want my own Burt and a spite cow (and a Nic for that matter). This novel makes a life as a PI physic living in a decrepit mansion with the senile look mighty appealing. Bring on book 3!!!
Also, Natalie Duke kills the narration.
