Richard the Reindeer had very sharp ears. He could hear sounds from amazing distances. His hearing has helped many people out of jams.
One Christmas Eve, Santa was snowed in by a blizzard and had no idea how he was going to deliver the Christmas gifts. He was reminded of Richard and his gift of hearing. Calling on Richard to lead the team, Santa was able to make his rounds that Christmas Eve.
