About this listen
He walked into school on his first day and owned it. I guess that's what happens when you're a prick, rich, and you're best friends with the ruling school's king. Also didn't hurt that he's drop-dead gorgeous.
That's all fine. I mean, I have nothing to do with them. I'm a loner, invisible, and that's how I wanted it to be. I was even proud of it, until I wasn't. Until I saw a girl kneel before him. Until I couldn't look away. Until he caught me watching.
His name is Blaise Devroe. My name is Aspen Monson. He only knew how to get, command, and demand attention. I knew how to do everything but that.
And this is our story.

Good read but I’m confused
** Spoiler alert **
I really enjoyed Blaise & Aspen’s story. They came together super fast though, too fast maybe. It was like a week and they were completely gone for each other. So super low angst in this one, but a lot of spice & drama. They both had inner issues that they lent on each other to get through which was sweet. Blaise was such a gentleman, he had good morals when it come to women, especially Aspen. Even with Mara the hook up, he cared for her and that he had hurt her feelings when he started dating Aspen. He was so caring that I wished he wasn’t so caring to Mara. Her choices afterwards were her own, he shouldn’t have been worried about her regretting whatever she did to get back at him. And Zeke... I honestly thought the relationship with Zeke & Blaise was going in a completely different direction to how it actually turned out which made me super happy! I loved how tight they were and how Blaise could count on him anytime, anyplace for anything.
So I know this is written as a stand alone and you can get through this story without needing to read fallen crest/crew books... but I was still super confused. I felt like I was missing something. Also the second epilogue didn’t match up with the book ‘Nate’ which annoys me! Technically speaking Aspen should of either been pregnant or already have at least her first kid in the book ‘Nate’, but she didn’t. I just can’t let it go lol. I just feel there was so many loose ends that now I need to go read the crew series! Which I wanted to do anyway as fallen crest series is one of my all time favs! Hopefully it answers my questions.
I highly recommend this whole universe to anyone who likes drama, action packed high school/college steamy romances with awesome side characters & tight nit friend groups. Even though you don’t need to, I suggest starting from the beginning and following the reading order on Tijans website, you’ll get more out of the series. I read Fallen crest in order but the rest not so much and I’m regretting it. I think I’m going to go back and start from the beginning. Love how Tijan interconnects her characters but my head is swimming trying to keep up!
Narrators were great although it took me a little bit to warm up to the female voice. By the end I felt the voice fit Aspens character well.

Confusing *spoilers*
I never write reviews but I am so confused as to why this book has such high ratings. First time reading this author ( they have come recommended, ) and I gotta say not a great start. The story itself.............. meh. It feels all over the place and it's so hard to keep up with. One minute she's being a creep and watching him get sucked off in a dark forest, then she is arriving at school, then he's confronting her in front of the school (not sure how he recognized her that's never addressed) and the next minute they are at a gas station in the bathroom hooking up AFTER he's called her out on being a weirdo (which she is)? Whaaaaaat? Also does Blaise's friends have a tracker on him, they seem to just show up out of the blue every time he's in public. I feel like this story has missing chapters or pages because everything seems so disjointed that sometimes the story doesn't make sense. One minute they are at point A and the next minute they are at point D with no explanation as to how/why we got there.
The main character Aspen is all over the place. All she seems to do is cry and get scared... of people... because one day a teacher threatened her rich parents when she was a kid and all the school kids blamed her for the teacher getting fired?...ok. Oh, and her rich parents are pretty much non existent and her brother died but we don't really get closure on that so who cares (?) it just seems to be a plot point that explains why she likes to go camping.
Blaise ( our hero ) has anger issues because he got beat up by his dad? fake dad? real dad? some dad? when he was young. Also don't even get me started on this weird family situation. And when I say anger issues I mean like everytime he talks to someone who is not Aspin he gets angry. He seems to get mad over everything, even simple questions.
"Hey man, who's the girl"
"How dare you say/look/breathe/touch even think about the girl" bawls fists up, girl cries, someone has to calm him down so they don't fight, girl cries some more - not an actual quote just an example.
Don't waste your money or a credit on this.
