WHERE IS RONAN?

I enjoyed the story for the most part but (spoiler alert ) I'm not going to lie leaving it with no trace of the missing little brother irked me no end, even a small glimpse to the reader where he is or his state of mind but nothing.
I might wait a while before I attempt the next book, if he's still missing after that I don't know if there will be a number 3 for me.
