Disappointing

The first 2 books started strong. Great world building and evolution of protagonist's backstory.

This book and the last keep focus too much on the characters feelings. TELLING US (not showing) exactly how X's words affected Y.

It's distracting, unnecessary, and boring.

It makes all the characters feel like narcissistic preteens.
