About this listen
Where are the broken? A propulsive question that unleashes a world of secrets in New York Times bestselling author Nalini Singh's Resonance Surge...
Pavel and Yakov Stepyrev have been a unit since their birth, but now Pavel's life is veering in a new direction, his heart held in the hands of Arwen Mercant, a Psy empath - and the only man who has ever brought Pavel to his knees.
This is it. A point of irrevocable change. For Pavel...for Arwenl...for Yakovl...and for another pair of twins whose bond has a far darker history.
A low-gradient Psy, Theodora Marshall is considered worthless by everyone but her violently powerful twin, Pax. She is the sole person he trusts in their venomous family to investigate a hidden and terrible part of their family history - an unregistered rehabilitation center established by their grandfather.
Places of unimaginable pain designed to psychically wipe minds, leaving the victims shells of their former selves, the Centers are an ugly vestige of the Psy race's Silent past. But this Center was worse. Far, far worse. And now Theo must uncover the awful truth - in the company of a scowling bear named Yakov who isn't about to take a Marshall at face value...especially a Marshall who has turned his dreams into chilling nightmares.
Because Yakov is the great-grandson of a foreseer...and he has seen Theo die in an unstoppable surge of blood. Night after night after night...

such an intriguing and beautiful story
I always love Nahlini Singh"s Psy-Changeling books. The bears and their loyalty and love for each other make me feel happy while the intriguing storyline keeps me on the edge of my seat. The narrator is extremely talented. I really recommend this book.

Beary Good
A fantastic story of the Stonewater bear twins Parvel and Yakov and the Psy twins Theo and Pax. Theo Is asked to investigate a funds drain from an old facility with bear shifter Yakov when she realised that she had a connection to it, luckily Yakov was able to help her., in more ways than one. Parvel has met his own Psy in Arwen an empath with a strong family connection of his own. Pax is concerned about Theo as he is suffering from a deadly illness and does not want to leave her alone. All these come together when Theo’s life is threatened.

Bears,Psy and mystery
Unlike some others, although I haven’t loved some of Nalini’s later books, nothing stops me revelling in her world and the characters who peoplecit.
This story, however, has fascinated and delighted me once again.
Theo is a lovely character, and unlike some psy characters has warmth and her reaction to her bear is lively as she creeps out of her shell.
The back story of her and others’ lives and the horrors perpetrated by her family also had my interest.
Tasha is another bear to love and possibly my favourite bear, alongside his twin whose love affair with the the intriguing Arwen is also featured in this book. I love the Nercant family as well, so altogether, I loved this beautifully read book.
I’d bought the book, but wanted to hear it so bought the audiobook as well. It was worth it!
