Publisher's Summary
Welcome to Junebug Farms, a successful, well-known animal shelter in upstate New York, where every day brings something new - love, stress, heartbreak, warmth - and not just from the animals. Lisa Drakemore is in charge of intake and adoption at Junebug. She excels at her job, in large part because of her ability to keep her emotions in check. Her past has given her many years of practice and she's become a pro. But once she meets dog-walking volunteer Ashley Stiles, a distractingly attractive, perpetually late, emotions-on-her-sleeve young woman who smells like cupcakes, all bets are off for Lisa. The first of the Puppy Love Romances by award-winning author Georgia Beers.

Rescued Heart
Georgia Beers has written a great story where she had two flawed characters who grew together stronger than they could imagine themselves ever being. Throw in some cute and cuddly animals and you have another hit from Georgia.
Off to read the next adventure in this trilogy…

A good desctiption of navigating unequal relations
Not as punchy, surprising or enjoyable as Beers other brilliant dialogues of intimate relationships between women. The few surprises are not well explained or founded in the suspence Beers normally portrays. The poetry of her usual prose lacks lustre.

not great
I felt frustrated and bored for most of the book. The character of Lisa was not likeable, why Ashleigh wld chose Lisa instead of a caring, warm & kind woman is bonkers. Lisa's character was rude stuborn, emotionally damaged & refuses to get help or even acknowledging she's a mental mess. This R/S can only end is disaster. Nothing really happened in the whole book..so painfully slow. Also Lisa victim shamed a sexual harassment victim!! WTF
