A lot of wasted words

While I enjoy a story to ensure it shares strong detail so I enter the story, there are a lot of wasted words detailing irrelevant pieces of the story.
I bought the second book out of interest to know, but again an hour into the second story and its an hour of wasted words. If there wasn’t so much time wasted on pointless non-events I would have really enjoyed this story.
