About this listen
A last chance at swimming gold, a second chance at lasting love.
Team captain. Olympic medalist. Devoted son and brother. Alex has it all, and all the demands that go with being the best. The last thing he needs on his crowded plate—and on his team—is his closeted ex.
Dane is swimming’s biggest star. Carefully crafted from crib to pool, his fame feeds his celebrity parents’ empire. He dropped the act once—the summer he fell in love with Alex. Ten years later, the performance is crushing his soul. So is resisting the man he still loves.
As the team struggles to gel, Alex and Dane clash in and out of the pool. Forgive and forget is easier said than done. But something has to give, if Alex and Dane want a shot at gold. And a second chance at love.
Team captain and team celebrity square off in this enemies to lovers, second chance MM sports romance between two elite swimmers fighting against their hearts and fighting for Olympic gold.

Strong feelings in this great enemies-to-lovers sports romance!
There are cracks in the US Olympic Men’s Swim Team as team captain Alejandro Cantu fights to keep star swimmer and media darling Dane Ellis off the medley relay team. Deeply closeted, repressed and stage-managed by his controlling parents, Dane walked away from a relationship with Alex ten years ago and there is bad blood between them. I enjoyed this sports romance a lot. The story takes place in the lead up to the Olympics at various training facilities in the US. Whereas Alex was a thoroughly decent character, I wanted to hate 26-yr old Dane for not standing up to his parents but I could understand the lifetime of programmed compliance drummed into him with threats, enticements and fake love - his parents were deliciously nasty! I always enjoy plots with an ensemble cast and this had a good mix of characters as well as a satisfying HEA. Audio narrator Nick J Russo always gives a good performance.
