About this listen

As part of Hell Squad, former Coalition Navy SEAL Reed MacKinnon fights for humanity's freedom from the alien invaders. He also fights for his brown-eyed girl - the woman he rescued from the aliens' secret laboratory. He admires her quiet strength and will to survive, not to mention her elfin looks and curvy body...but he knows he has to keep his distance. She's nowhere near ready for what he has to offer and he'll protect her from everything, even his own powerful desires.

Energy scientist Natalya Vasin has lived through hell. Still struggling after her captivity, scarred by the aliens' experimentation, all she wants is to be normal again...and she wants Reed MacKinnon. But the rugged soldier is holding back, treating her like glass, and she won't accept that from anybody.

As Reed and Natalya wage a sensual battle of desires, they also work together to decipher a mysterious alien energy cube. Hell Squad needs Natalya's expertise and they need her to go back into alien territory to use it. But on a mission to destroy an alien outpost, secrets are uncovered - of what the raptors really did to Natalya. Secrets that mean the future she wants with Reed is just an impossible dream.

Excellent

Hell Squad book 4 is all about Reed MacKinnon and Energy scientist Natalya Vasin. They meet when Reed and Hell Squad rescue Natalya from an alien scientific laboratory. The attraction is instant but Reed is keeping his distance believing she needs time to heal. Natalya wants Reed badly but he is resistant and she has some issues of her own although she doesn't know it yet. She is hard working and has almost got the secret base hot water on a twenty four hour basis and now she is working on alien energy cubes that have the power to change life in the base as well as the fight with the aliens. Reed and Natalya must fight together in the battle against the aliens and his reticence with her if they are to stand a chance. Another book full of aliens, humour, action and scorching hot romance which I thoroughly enjoyed and highly recommend.

One of the lighter stories for Anna Hackett

I enjoy the way the series keeps getting pieced together. each Heroine brings her own Piece of importance to deal with the raptors.
Samantha and Jeffrey Did a nice narration For the book. However I notice that Jeffrey doesn't use his accents but I would rather he didn't if it wasnt going to sound very good. Sam however does her accents really well. I live in Australia Although not in Sydney but I do know where all the parts of the book are based.
I'm glad there is no Australian accent, I find a lot of narrator's dont seem to be able to pronounce it correctly and it becomes off-putting.
one of Anns's books "team 52" has a character with an Aussie accent and Stella bloom comes close to making it work but just falls short.
