About this listen

The number-one New York Times best-selling series returns with Mitch Rapp racing against the clock to take down Russia's ailing leader before he invades the Baltics.

When Max Krupin - Russia's leader - discovers that his kidney cancer has spread to his brain, he's determined to hide his diagnosis. He begins by getting rid of anyone threatening to him - as well as creating chaos in the region to keep the world's attention diverted. Soon, Krupin's illness becomes serious enough that he needs a more dramatic diversion, prompting him to invade the Baltics.

Desperate to understand what's causing Krupin's uncharacteristically erratic behavior and Russia's aggressive moves in the region, America begins working with Russia's disgraced prime minister to stage a coup. Its success relies on Mitch Rapp's ability to successfully find and quietly get rid of the ailing president before Europe is drawn into a war with a man who has nothing to lose.

For fans of "black-ops thrillers, Mitch Rapp continues to be among the best of the best" (Booklist, starred review).

Good book but...

I didn't mind this book. The writing is a little more simplistic than Vince's last Rapp novel but Mills still writes an entertaining story.

George Guidall really brings the best out of this book, he's much better suited to Mitch's voice than Scott Brick was in Enemy of the State.

overall an entertaining listen.

Kyle Mills honours the memory of Vince Flynn !

An exquisite example of Rapp at his best.
Kyle Mills deserves full credit for taking over the reins of Flynn's outstanding series & making it even better.

intricate and well laid out.

Being a big fan of Vince Flynn's i was always worried when Mills took over that the books would lose their pace and intrigue, fortunately this was not the case and the series just keeps getting better.

P.S. Guidall should be doing every book in this series, his voice brings the characters life and depth.

Highly engaging & hard to put down

Kyle Mills has done a fantastic job keeping the Mitch Rapp character true to Vince Flynn's previous works and also keeping the series alive. The story is highly engaging and fast paced, whilst George Guidall's narration, as always, is just brilliant. I really enjoyed this audiobook and highly recommend it to anyone who likes the series.

Great Continuation of the Mitch Rapp Series

Kyle Mills has done a good job continuing on in the tradition of Vince Flynn in the Mitch Rapp series. This is a good plot and continues the legend that is Mitch Rapp. Very good narration by George Guidall.

By far the worst

I've been a big fan of this series but this story line lacked the fast pace of previous novels.
