Publisher's Summary
"NEW YORK TIMES BESTSELLER • Pierce Brown’s relentlessly entertaining debut channels the excitement of The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins and Ender’s Game by Orson Scott Card.
“Red Rising ascends above a crowded dystopian field.”—USA Today Adapted from the novel and produced with a full cast of actors, immersive sound effects and cinematic music!
“I live for the dream that my children will be born free,” she says. “That they will be what they like. That they will own the land their father gave them.” “I live for you,” I say sadly. Eo kisses my cheek. “Then you must live for more.”
Darrow is a Red, a member of the lowest caste in the color-coded society of the future. Like his fellow Reds, he works all day, believing that he and his people are making the surface of Mars livable for future generations. Yet he toils willingly, trusting that his blood and sweat will one day result in a better world for his children.
But Darrow and his kind have been betrayed. Soon he discovers that humanity reached the surface generations ago. Vast cities and lush wilds spread across the planet. Darrow—and Reds like him—are nothing more than slaves to a decadent ruling class.
Inspired by a longing for justice, and driven by the memory of lost love, Darrow sacrifices everything to infiltrate the legendary Institute, a proving ground for the dominant Gold caste, where the next generation of humanity’s overlords struggle for power. He will be forced to compete for his life and the very future of civilization against the best and most brutal of Society’s ruling class. There, he will stop at nothing to bring down his enemies... even if it means he has to become one of them to do so.
Performed by Stewart Crank, John Kielty, Richard Rohan, Stephanie Németh-Parker, Jenna Sharpe, Kay Eluvian, Jon Vertullo, Ian Russell, Alejandro Ruiz, Andrew Colford, Bradley Foster Smith, Christopher Williams, Chris Stinson, Christopher Walker, Colleen Delany, Elizabeth Jernigan, Eric Messner, Ian Putnam, James Konicek, Joe Mallon, Joel David Santner, Julie-Ann Elliott, Karen Novak, Ken Jackson, Lucy Symons, Marni Penning, Martin Dickinson, Matthew Bassett, Matthew Pauli, Matthew Schleigh, Michael Glenn, Michael John Casey, Nanette Savard, Nazia Chaudhry, Nora Achrati, Shanta Parasuraman, Stephone Walker, Dylan Lynch, Yasmin Tuazon and Andy Clemence.

Absolutely Brilliant
As a fan of dystopian and anti-establishment literature, Red Rising ticks all the right boxes. It's like Hunger Games meets Divergent in space. The characters are intricate, the story is gripping and thrilling, and it's descriptive without becoming overly detailed and dull. My only complaint is the difficulty of finding another book that meets the high standard this one has set.

Awesome
I recommend listening/reading this book because honestly the story grips you. The voice acting and immersive storytelling is top tier. Would be nice if you could get the whole story in one part but oh well.

I couldn’t stop listening!
I’ve never listened to an dramatised adaption before but this one for Red Rising set the standard so high! I couldn’t stop listening. I really hope they do the same for the other books. So much so, I’m going to hold off listening to them until they do.

brings it to life
I love Tim Reynolds in the original version and to be honest I wish he still did Darrow but I love graphic audios work and this has added a whole new dimension to my favourite series
