Critic Reviews

"Reads like a classic thriller, with an everyman hero alone and in danger in a hostile foreign city...but it’s all true, and it’s a story that needs to be told." (Lee Child)

A Story Of Courage That Needs To Be Told

If someone had told me that a book about high finance, the stock market and the Russian economy was going to be interesting, I would have yawned and looked the other way. But I didn't - and I'm very glad I didn't! This is an incredible true story, one which vividly exposes the corruption and violence of modern day Russia, and specifically concentrates on the murder by the Russian authorities of an innocent lawyer, Sergei Magnitsky. The author, Bill Browder, a close friend of Magnitsky, carries the reader from his earliest days as an up-and-coming businessman to his transformation as a human rights activist, for which the murder of his friend was the catalyst. The courage and bravery of Browder, Magnitsky and the others who worked to expose the corruption is evident, particularly in their stance against the tyrannical Russian President, Vladimir Putin. It's a story that needs to be told and it continues to this day.

Truth sounding stranger than Fiction

A friend of mine recommended this book to me. I was mesmerised not only by the well-written nature of this story, but also by the fact that it was non fiction: an account of real world political intrigue and injustice. Highly recommended reading.

Educational and Moving

Bill Browder has shed light on what is happening in Russia and led a movement for justice that has made Mr Putin and his minions very angry. This is one of the most powerful and important audio books I have listened to.

Wow. Read and share. Simply incredible.

This is a story not to be missed. Historically insightful, exciting, insuring but ultimately heart wrenching, Red Notice is brilliant.

One of the all time best. Bravo Bill & co

Quite incredible to think about the stress and pressure Bill, his family and his associates went through. It is unimaginable for many of us. His strength of character to not be pushed around the criminal Russian oligarchs and the corruption in the Kremlin is remarkable.
