About this listen
Every man she’s ever known has hurt her…until him.
Life hasn’t been kind to Harper Rain. In fact, so far, it’s only proven the one person she can rely on is herself. But when all her efforts to escape her family fail, she takes the last desperate option—run.
With little more than a few dollars to her name, she ends up in the small town of Misty Peak. The first person she meets is a tall mountain of a man…whose kindness is only outshone by his captivating smile.
As a former Delta Forces soldier, the urge to protect others is in Cody Walker’s genes. So when a woman walks into his bar in the middle of a storm—with only a backpack and a black eye—ignoring her isn’t an option.
Trust doesn’t come easy to Harper, so Cody starts by giving her a job. The more he gets to know the enigmatic woman, the more he’s convinced that slowly working his way behind her shields is well worth the effort.
Unfortunately for them both, time is a luxury they can’t afford. Harper's pursuer is catching up, and if they can’t have her, no one can…least of all Cody.
Reckless Hope is a small-town, stand-alone romantic suspense in the Reckless series by bestselling author Nyssa Kathryn.

are you ok
Finally I get to listen to Nyssas Small town story with a brilliant character name. I just love 'Harper Rain'. I enjoyed the way it intertwined other characters from other series she has written, which I have listened to. This plot line has some clever twists and turns and more than a few antagonists. Which kept me thinking what is going to happen?
I really liked Cody. I think he was a good h. especially after remembering what Nyla went through, I can see how he was a bit over the top protective. However, it seemed to work just fine for this book. They only chuckle I had in this story. Was that Cody seemed to be asking Harper if she was OK, mant, many times And I could almost say it before I heard it. However , it was endearing just the same.
For the duet narration, Jason oh my goodness. What a swoon voice and I do enjoy Avery. I have listened to both narrators on many occasion and they are fantastic. This was so good and I really hope other authors can turn toward this type of narration. As it really put, the polishing touches on the characters. So thank you Nyssa for doing that and thank you to Jason and Avery for creating such great characters. I'm so looking forward to other books. I'm hoping Nyssa is going to write about the brothers. I have a sneaky suspicion. Caden and Tilly might be the next couple.
