Bit drawn out
This book isn't as good as the first book in my opinion. It was a bit drawn out with an anticlimactic ending. I will still get the next book, I just hope it is more exciting. The first book was fabulous

So good
First time reading it was underwhelming, strangely, but the second time, when there was less focus on the storyline and it’s ending (which I’m still not happy about, Lauren. Lol) - there is so much focus on Kai’s poetic mind and… it’s beautiful. The book is mesmerising, and exciting. The banter was great the first and second time reading, the adventure was ok, but the beauty was in the poetry. A soulful read, made me stop and rewind often, just to hear it again and again. Pause-worthy.
The audio narration was perfection.
The ending still made me want to throw a heavy object. April… where are you.

Just read it.
If you are reading this review you have probably not read the first book. Honestly just read/listen to this book. The narration is good, the story line at times meandered but at the end of the book you wish you still had hours left of the audio.
