Another amazing addition
Like all the previous books of this series, this book is both captivating and entertaining. My only wish is they came out more frequently!

Like a fine wine
Every book gets better and better, the Boudica rebellion is a story that I hoped would be told after she was first introduced and I was not at all disappointed! Everything is perfect as always in this series.
I can’t wait for the next one!!

In step with the rest of the series
Good book, some vivid descriptions that put you right in there. Authors note appreciated relaying the historical context
Would be good to get a painting of Centurion Bernardicus striding out boldly as the advance resumed, was a great moment in the book

Both the writing and the performance are brilliant as always. I finished this one in 3 days if thats any indication to how good it was.

compulsive listening

Riveting and expertly written and narrated
This whole series has to be the finest stories told. The characters are the finest there are in the many books i have listened too. Only The Last Kingdom series can match these books. The Narrator is the best there is and he brings the whole story to life. Close your eyes and listen, you can almost believe you are there to witness it.
Bad news is that another year to go before the next installment.

anyone else hear the added sword swish sound? the only disappointment is i have to wait another year until the next book, this was a good one and will be hard to beat
