About this listen

Eleanor Murray is tired. Tired of going on awkward dates. Tired of meeting men who just aren’t that into her. Tired of being set up on blind dates by her well-meaning friends.

She is a believer of true love, of finding that happily ever after, and she wants it. She deserves it. But at the rate she’s going, she’s pretty sure it’s never going to happen. Until a friend creates a profile for Eleanor on a new dating app.

At first, she’s reluctant. Dating apps aren’t the way to finding true love, are they? But then she makes a connection on Rate a Date, and this gorgeous, confident guy almost seems too good to be true....

Mitch Anderson has a secret. He’s just moved to Las Vegas for his high-profile job, and after years of playing the field, he’s looking for a serious relationship. He wants to find a woman who likes him for who he is, not what he does. Meeting Eleanor on the dating app, he’s intrigued. Meeting her in real life while she’s in town for a bachelorette weekend, he completely falls for her. Now he’s in way over his head. Their chemistry is combustible. They can’t keep their hands off each other. But will Eleanor forgive him when she finds out who he really is?

I think it’s my favourite book from the series

I loved Mitch’s character and thought the Narrators did a great/entertaining job. A lot of saucy scenes though so not one to listen to on loud speaker 😆

Fun listen

This my first time reading/listening to a Monica Murphy story and I enjoyed it. It is light and funny and hot with just enough angst to keep it interesting.
There were some very funny inner monologues delivered perfectly by the narrators. Well done Emma Wilder and Patrick Zeller for such great narration!

Romantic Hookup

A delightful, short and easy listening get together. Thank you such an easy going straight forward romantic story. Listening while I organised my Christmas cards.

Eleanor and Mitch

Rate a Date You by Monica Murphy is the fifth standalone novel in the Dating Series. However, I feel like this one had less details about the other friend group and reading the previous books in the series is needed.

Eleanor and Mitch are both testing the waters via a dating app and happen to start talking.

Mitch is a pro football player who’s trying to keep who he is on the down-low and Eleanor is a sweet and innocent hairdresser. But Mitch allows Eleanor to drop her walls.

The attract starts well before they meet and when they finally do, it’s explosive.

I think these two have been my favourite couple from this series.

Not much of a story

Not much story in this one, not like the others in the series. Also a bit disappointed that Eleanor’s personality doesn’t come through as bubble as it does in the other books. Just seems rushed and the story is shallow..
Love Kelsey’s and Stella’s stories

This book has too much porn

I do not like the verbal porn in this book. Take away the unnecessary porn and this book could get a five star rating.
