Ralph’s party mmmm

This is a rather silly book. Long winded and a bit childish. It could have been edited a lot.
The characters are entertaining though and I made myself finish it. I won’t be reading another Lisa Jewell novel again. One thing though I like Imogen church’s voice. She’s a good narrator.

Disappointed

I really tried but I couldn’t get into this. Excellent narration but the characters (to me) were really boring and uninteresting. Gave up and returned.

Unfortunately Tedious

Thoroughly enjoyed several Lisa Jewell thrillers, which led me to choose this, but hard to believe it was the same author! Utterly tedious in every respect: overwritten (monologue rants/over-extended focuses), over-narrated (irritatingly over- voiced and some errors in interpretation of dialogue utterances), unlikable characters (impossible to invest in) and a thoroughly uninteresting story. I initially persevered, but ended up skipping last too thirds of book to final few chapters - and these were just as tedious...
