About this listen

When summoned by his brother to help protect their family ranch in Lincoln County, Slim comes running. With him comes the fighting experience of a Civil War cavalry officer and town taming lawman.

Being on the lookout for trouble isn’t the same as being on the prod. Theirs was a peace loving family, but when trouble comes, some men stand up to it and do what needs to be done. Slim is that way, so is his brother.

Life is unpredictable though, and sometimes when you’re so busy watching for the trouble you expect, it comes from a different direction. Like many times before, this trouble came in the form of burning gun powder and screaming hot lead.

This story takes place in the American frontier west during the time leading up to the Lincoln County War. Some names will be recognized as people who lived during that time, but the story is fictional. Anything said or done by anyone in this story is also fictional.
