About this listen

A groundbreaking and inspiring book that provides the nine keys that can lead to a spontaneous remission from cancer - even after conventional medicine has failed.

Early in her career, Kelly Turner, PhD, a researcher, lecturer, and counselor in Integrative Oncology, was shocked to discover that no one was studying episodes of radical remission, when people recover against all odds without the help of conventional medicine, or after conventional medicine has failed. She was so fascinated by this kind of remission that she spent eight years travelling through 10 countries to learn what factors that people experiencing this phenomenon encountered. Her evidence presents nine factors that she believes can help even terminal patients turn their lives around. They are:

  • Radically changing your diet
  • Deepening your spiritual connection
  • Increasing positive emotions
  • Releasing suppressed emotions
  • Taking herbs and vitamins
  • Using intuition to help inform health decisions
  • Taking control of one’s health
  • Having strong reasons to live
  • Receiving social support

Every chapter of Radical Remission includes a dramatic story of one person’s journey back to wellness. The insight that the possibilities for healing are more abundant than we had previously known will give people concrete ways to defy the prognoisis of terminal cancer. It chronicles people from all walks of life, and from all over the world. This is a book for those who are in the midst of receiving conventional cancer treatment, who are looking for other options because that treatment has done all that it can, but who still have hope.

Among the Best

Apparently I have Stage 4 terminal cancer. I have read more than 20 books to help me through the challenges. This was the most recent and in hindsight I wish it was the first. The power of hope in a hopeless situation, the power of trust in one’s own intuition when all avenues available are telling you you are wrong, and faith in your own spirit and understanding of energy flows or God that this book explains and supports with case studies is so valuable I know it will be saving lives, extending lifespans at the least.
Thank you Kelly.
I promise to add my story to your website group. Apparently I should be not on this planet anymore. All the things in this book have helped my survival, I had to learn them.
This book will help you.

Potentially life-changing stories.

I much enjoyed listening to this book, which moves fast and remains interesting and engaging throughout.
Most people know someone affected by cancer, and the stories in this well researched book by Dr Turner provide stepping stones and clear tips for those wanting to make changes in their lifestyle to 'beat' the cancer.
The author reveals 9 Key Things common to the people who recovered - in several cases - from terminal, incurable cancers, often where conventional medicine ran out of options.
They range from the obvious (chemotherapy, radiotherapy, surgery) to wider subjects like improved diets, which Dr Turner goes into specifics, to more 'left field' treatments including sound healing, reiki and such.
Most of the people experiencing these 'miracle recoveries' included in their personal treatment all 9 Key Things... which makes this information hugely valuable.
I strongly recommend it to anyone wishing to expand their knowledge of options when dealing with cancer.

Radical remission

Informative, useful, evidence based and factual.
Well-presented with interesting and purposeful real life stories. Besides everything I liked reading, some of the highlights of the book were action points after each chapter.
Thank you very much.

Inspiring but a bit sketchy

An interesting and probably much needed book, based on a large number of case studies of people who survived cancer well beyond their diagnosis, this book is inspiring and empowering for those who want to actively heal despite a gloomy prognosis. It does gloss over the fact that these people are outliers, and that many many more people are cured through conventional treatments. She didn’t need to set up that opposition against medicine, and it’s weird as most of her case studies had conventional treatments as well as multiple alternative treatments, but she attributes success to the alternative treatments. This seems unnecessary, and possibly confusing for readers with a new cancer diagnosis, who are her audience. As a guide to prevention it’s much less problematic and very convincing. Still, they are inspiring stories and hopefully they will empower many to keep actively seeking to heal with multiple modalities.
