Publisher's Summary
A special 25th anniversary edition narrated by the author.
Discover the deliciously dark and fantastically funny number one best seller about a woman living life rather too well and being whisked away from it all, from the number one best-selling author of Grown Ups.
'How did it end up like this? Twenty-seven, unemployed, mistaken for a drug addict, in a treatment centre in the back arse of nowhere with an empty Valium bottle in my knickers....'
Meet Rachel Walsh.
She's been living it up in New York City, spending her nights talking her way into glamorous parties before heading home in the early hours to her hot boyfriend, Luke.
But her sensible older sister showing up and sending her off to actual rehab wasn't quite part of her plan.
She's only agreed to her incarceration because she's heard that rehab is wall-to-wall Jacuzzis, gymnasiums and rock stars going cold turkey - plus it's about time she had a holiday.
Saying goodbye to fun will be hard. But not as hard as losing the man who she realises, all too late, might just be the love of her life....

Loved loved loved it!
I have read a few of Marian’s book and of course they are all great. This one was especially more so because she read it! I thought I would never recover laughing when we first heard about Chackie’s “Derms” . The way Marian kept saying his name had me in stitches. Thank you - I needed this!

So well written and narrated
This book was hard to listen to at first. But once you settle into the life of an addict it is so spot on (and kudos to the narrator). Lots of laughs and a bit of sadness. The Irish sense of humour cracked me up, especially Helen explaining how she practiced for her airline hostess job. 😂⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

made even better by the author narrating!
I love this book and have relistened many times. It's a great read, heartbreaking and funny. I wish the author would rerelease all her books as the narrator., I could listen to her for days!

The best ever audible book I’ve listened to!
My very first Marian Keyes, either in book form or audio. Absolutely Loved the narration by the author herself, she knew how to make it that bit funnier in my opinion, as she wrote it! Set in 1998, but still very relevant. I have not been entertained by any other book as much as this one. It was soooo good for my soul and I was very sad when it was over. Not that I was disappointed with the ending, just that it had to end! I will be reading/listening to the sequel Rachel Again as soon as I can!
