About this listen

We saw in the first of the Quantum series that a teenager at a science fair gets mixed up with a parent’s "quantum entanglement" experiment, a phenomenon that Einstein said was impossible. This quirk of the quantum world, through a little help from these Earth scientists, results in a communication link with similar scientist on a recently discovered exoplanet.

As the success of this communication link grows, multiple Earth government organizations frown on this kind of interchange with "a foreign power", forcing a little known United Nations Secretariat, UNOOSA, United Nations Office for Outer Space Affairs, to step in.

Unknown to our Earth scientists, certain factions on another planet also object to this interchange, with actions that brings their work to the brink of disaster.

With continuing help from the another planet, they discover there had been communication thousands of years ago between the two worlds, involving the ancient Egyptians and other Earth civilizations, raising all kinds of questions and suspicions about these new "friends". As their exchange of scientific knowledge continues to increase, even more impossible quantum secrets are revealed.
