About this listen
Can a computer program understand love better than the human heart?
Archer, the AI at the dating service Q*pid, realizes humans don't always make the best choices, so it begins making some unconventional choices for them.
Fox Kincade is the last of his group of friends to be single, so he's delighted when he discovers a new match in his Q*pid app - one that, according to the new AI wizardry, should be the love of his life. Instead of the woman he's expecting, he's paired with Drew Larsen, a shy, somewhat nerdy PhD student who has also grown discouraged with romance.
Drew and Fox have little in common - aside from the fact that they're both straight. Or so they thought. But as the guys get to know each other, they realize Archer might have the right idea. Their path isn't smooth, because both need to overcome every idea they have about themselves and what true love might look like. But with the help of Archer - and some friends who have stuck with Fox and Drew through the thick and thin of their relationship trials - they might find their way into each other's hearts.

One big flaw but otherwise a sweet & funny romcom!
One of the devs at Q*pid, a matchmaking app, has developed Archer, a revolutionary AI that holistically evaluates your online presence to make much more accurate matches. Due to user error, Archer ignores the sexual orientation parameter and PhD student Drew Larsen and investment banker Fox Kincade are surprised to find themselves matched when they have only ever dated women. I really loved this classic gay-for-you romcom. On the plus side, it was well-written and thought-provoking as well as fun. The guys didn’t immediately embrace their feelings towards each other, it all took a realistic amount of time with a really slowly burn. The only major peeve was the idea that they could only be straight or gay, there was never any mention of bisexuality, which seemed strange. The only very minor peeve was an aggressive employee at Q*pid who fought the rollout of Archer all the way - I would have loved to see him eat humble pie! Overall, though, this was great! New-to-me audio narrator Rudy Sanda was really excellent, totally playful or emotional as required with a great range of voices!

Feel good fluff
Nice story with an interesting perspective. Unfortunately a very poor narration. Trying to change his voice was a disaster. One character desperately needed an accent but it wasn’t even attempted. Sounded like Yoda.

Absolutely Delightful!
What a wonderful story! I thoroughly enjoyed everything about this from beginning g to end. The narration by Rudy Sander is brilliant. This is the first book that I’ve read/listened to by Xavier Mayne and it most definitely will not be the last!
