About this listen
Shifter and vampire true mates story.
Alek's older brother, Justice - the Alpha Zenith - was the first shifter to mate with a vampire in many generations, and it was believed the rare, fated pairing would stop at him. But, it hadn't. Aleksei "Alek" Volkov was second beta, next in succession to the most powerful shifter in the world. He was proud of his title and he took his duties seriously. It was all he had. Until his true mate literally showed up on his doorstep.
Belleron "Bell" Liatos had come to the states for one reason - his best friend and vampire king, Chadwick Bentley. He certainly didn't come to be pounced on by a wolf that could act independently of its master. Not only was his destined cherished a complicated and confused man, but he was also unaware of the powerful presence that lurked in the shadows of his soul. Bell didn't know he'd be the key to unlocking an exceptional triad that would play a critical role in fulfilling the prophesy.
Contains mature themes.

Ran out fo puff!
Younger brother to Alpha Zenith Justice, Aleksei ‘Alek’ Volkov has a dark, shameful secret that only his family knows: he is linked not only to his wolf but also to a dark demigod called Wrath that Alek and his wolf have always struggled to keep in check. Alek and his family blame Wrath for the death of their mother during a terrible battle. With Alek’s true mate, vampire Lord High Belleron Liatos, in deadly trouble, Alek and his wolf have no choice but to bring forth Wrath to save him. But with Wrath’s easy anger and unpredictability, have they unleashed an even greater danger?
I just need to point out that ‘prophesy’ is the verb and that this entire series should be called the noun, ‘prophecy’ (sigh!). The first third of the book is gripping: the prophecy takes a big back seat during this story as the trinity that is Alek grapples with his darker sides and attempts to rescue Bell. Unfortunately, the pace slows after that as Alek and Belleron get to know each other better and the story seemed overly long. It somehow felt like a m/m/m story given that Wrath was a totally different person to Alek. 🎧 Again, the best thing about this the audio: Troy Duran has a deep, rich, resonant voice that worked well with the characters, especially Wrath.

enjoyed it but
Loved the narrators voice abd the character. Would have given 5star for story but it fell flat for me when Bel got hot and bothered for Wrath. I felt that part was unnecessary - my opinion.
