About this listen
You have a complete understanding of your most private self. You have come to the realization that you have the capacity to do great things in your life and to alter the course of events. The fact that you are unable to make the adjustments that would be beneficial to you, despite the fact that you are aware of and comprehend who you are, is detrimental to your sense of self-worth and causes you to experience less happiness. On account of this, the life of a procrastinator is characterized by feelings of disappointment, missed opportunities, and a sense of guilt.
Think about all the regrets you will have in the future for not living up to your potential, not putting in enough effort, or not caring enough for your mental and physical health. If you are feeling like things are terrible right now, simply think about all the regrets you will have in the future. To the extent that you are unable to get control of the situation, you are likely to experience a tremendous degree of frustration and disappointment. "The thief of time" is a typical nickname for people who put things off until later. Shouldn't it be more complicated than that? Furthermore, it is a perpetrator of evil, a destroyer of hopes, and a causer of an endless number of problems, in addition to the fact that it robs us of our time.
Simply by virtue of your presence, you are already aware of all of that. The consequences of putting things off until later are something you are well aware of, aren't you? You are still procrastinating even if you are listening to this book, rather than doing something that you are aware you need to be doing but avoid doing because you are terrified of doing it. It is difficult to understand why procrastination is such a crippling affliction. The issue that has to be answered is why we continue to put off doing the activities that we are aware we ought to be engaging in.
