Incredibly succinct description of a incredibly complicated subject
Here-in lies the perfect overview of what I’ve always wanted to obtain as an amateur investor; research based analysis of all things economics including many measures I thought were not accessible to me

Global History Economics
Great insight and extremely informative. would highly recommend world leaders to read and participate in its understanding. A leader who commits to running his her country with this knowledge could create a sustainable environment for all its people.

Thought provoking + well delivered
Dalio has put together an excellent study of macro rises and falls over the last 500 years, with many thought provoking implications for our current times.
I find Dalio to be incredibly articulate, humble and sincere. He never makes bold assumptions or unverifiable claims, but rather points to historical data and research to try to get a sense of order in the chaos of global empires and big macroeconomic movements.
His main thesis of Big Cycles gets reinforced a few times, so be prepared for some repetition. If you haven't seen his amazing YouTube video that summarises this book I highly suggest you go and watch that first. This book just goes deeper into the thesis, the history, as well as some of the implications specific to our time.
Dalio is a great narrator for the intro and conclusion, and his counterpart Jeremy does an excellent job also.
Highly recommend.

Best books in investing I have ever read!
This book show how markets move in cycles, and we're looking at a thin slice of a larger cycle currently. It also has empirical evidence on where we are in these cycles and predictions on where we'll go next. It's a must read for any investor!!
