Publisher's Summary
A fae prince with a poisoned heart. A mortal girl with a magical voice. Neither one believes in fairy tales.
City waitress Lara has the voice of an angel and no idea she's marked as the fated mate of a silver-eyed royal from another realm. When she falls into Faery and meets an obnoxious huntsman who mistakes her for a troll, she's amazed to discover he's the cursed Prince of Air in disguise. Ever's mother, the queen, is less than impressed. The opposing court of techno-loving Unseelie wants her as their very own pet. And an evil air mage wishes her dead.
Held captive by Elemental fae in the Land of Five, she's certainly hit rock bottom. But songs wield power, and Lara happens to be a true diva. Now if only she can use her newfound magical skill to make the Prince of Never a little less attractive. The first thing she wants is to find a way back home, and the last is to fall in love.
Ever and Lara think they know what they want, but destiny and an age-old curse have other ideas.

Interesting story but definitely suited to teens
Narrators were great.
I blindly listened to this story after a recommendation and once I realised it was more suited to teens/very young adults I nearly stopped.
But regardless of its younger target audience it still ended up being an easy story to listen to. I'd love this story if written in a way for more mature audiences.

Perfect choice in narrators.
I enjoyed this story. I didn’t know what to expect when I started it but it was well written and I loved the narrator’s. It’s so much easier to follow when the voices match the characters. The only thing that is disappointing is that it’s the only book in the series as an audio book.

What a Rogue
Sassy waitress being taken to a different land and meets a aloof, arrogant sexy beast of a Prince Fae called Ever, or Never as she calls him - he hates that as noone stands up to him like Lara does.Driving some of Prince Evers difficult behaviour he has waited for his queen so he could kill her (because of the curse his family is under). Never in his wildest dreams would he have imagined his queen would turn out to be a human like Lara. The narration intones and inflects perfectly for the listener how unbending inflexible and practically ruthless Prince Ever is... but trust me unravels under Laras spell. Loved it Loved how Lara had his number made him in the end need and crave her.
