Publisher's Summary
A retelling of the classic fairytale Snow White with a twist....
When his evil stepfather King Reginald betrays Prince Snow, he’s forced to flee Apple Kingdom a wanted criminal with a bounty on his head. Snow’s Fairy Godfather, Blue, suddenly has his hands full keeping his ward alive now that bounty hunters, Wizard Knights, and Inquisitors are after Snow’s head.
Snow and Blue embark on a quest to find the elusive Winter King Elias. The wizard is Snow’s only hope at learning how to control his volatile ice powers so that he can defeat Reginald, who is a master of wielding the element of fire, and save Fantasia from the sorcerer’s nefarious schemes of destruction and rebirth.
Love is the key to Snow controlling his powers. However, the handsome prince has never experienced the emotion of love - only lust. He plans to marry the beautiful Princess Florinda in the hopes that he will eventually fall in love with her. Fern - a fierce bounty hunter, who doesn’t believe in ‘true love’, throws a wrench into Snow’s plans when she tries to kill him and ends up sparing his life.
Fern makes Snow feel things he’s never felt before. Feeling butterflies in his stomach was something Snow thought he’d never feel until Fern made that myth a reality.
When Fern first meets Prince Snow she hates the flashy playboy on sight because he reminds her of her adulterous father. But as Fern travels north through Fantasia with the prince and his allies (which include the eccentric seer Baba Yaga) her feelings for Snow begin to change as she discovers that behind his ostentatious personality is a kind man.
In Fantasia, a prince is destined to marry a princess, however. Will true love conquer all, or will Fern and Snow remain prisoners of their fate?
