About this listen
Jack "Preacher" Prior is at a crossroads - literally. Left for dead in the Badlands, he's managed to survive. He's stolen a truck, but where can he go? Body broken, mind reeling from betrayal by his own MC brothers, he knows he won't last a day back in Rapid City in his current condition.
Erin Walker is at a crossroads of her own. Dealt a bad hand by being the daughter of Buck Walker, ex-rodeo champ, she's made her own way in the world without his help. She owns Thunder Ridge Ranch outright, and she's carved out a piece of paradise for herself with her own two hands. She's not giving it up without a fight, but she's alone in the world, with no one to trust.
In Erin, Preacher finds something that doesn't exist in his own world: a smart, fierce, independent woman who sets his blood on fire. For Erin, the mysterious man who threatens her life might very well be the only one who can save it.
Contains mature themes.

another outstanding book
I loved it! full on action & romance with humour too. the funniest part was Jack, the dog & the roaster, HD hated that roaster especially when it totally outsmarted Jack, the best laugh I've had in along time. I highly recommend this book

Loved it!
Great storyline, because of where it was set certainly put it at the top of her books for me. Love the burnout connection. So glad I read this series thank you

gaps in plot everywhere
I have to say I'm up to chapter 37 and I've started this review. I'd give it away but I did pay for it.
I listened to this author for the first time due to some good reviews but i guess I'm definitely a different thinker.
I couldn't connect with the characters. the H was portrayed as a kick ass president but the description of him and his actions did not mesh with what he was supposed to be. the dialogue and interaction was just weak.
the fact that he was supposed to be a seasoned biker born 2nd generation hard ass and then misses a betrayal not once but twice within his own club??? gah!!! In my opinion I saw him as an absolute dick!
then on meeting the h he's an even bigger one and doesn't change anytime soon. Even when inside a few days/weeks, he immaculately loses his bad assery as the actual attempt began at describing him as half way decent. And the sex scenes.... what a mysoginistic creep, hes not even versed in things that he should be. For me, he's definitely not an MC pres. Where the hell is internal dialogue, his pain, torment, guilt, wrestle with my soul torture???
I thought the h was kick ass but the scene with her foreman just ran from hot to cold...no description, no internal emotional dialogue. Nothing.
the sex, the complete turnaround of a hard core brutal man, the unemotional description regarding the h and her situations...just did not work for me.
the snow storm scene sounded like they're in the middle of 10 acres not between a barn and a house. the father and daughter interaction doesn't add up and runs hot and cold as well.
the best part was the revenge.. dahlia west should write 80% action as she does that well. theatre plot was good. however
i won't be reading this author again.
