From the age of 14, Caitlin was completely controlled, repeatedly raped, provided with alcohol, given drugs, sold and passed on to new gangs over and over again. The majority of her abusers were Pakistani men, who were blatant in their attacks upon her, often collecting her from school or home, to be taken to flats they owned, family homes or hotels booked for the day, to be horrifically and systematically abused.
At a time when the abuse ring realities of young white women in Rotherham and other major English cities are coming to light, Caitlin's story will appal listeners - not just because of the degree of horrific attacks which were perpetrated upon her but also because of the ways in which the authorities refused to act.
Caitlin speaks openly about what she has suffered and also shows just how unwilling many people are to face up to what is happening in our midst, for fear of being called racist. By bravely speaking out, she will hopefully prove just how deep these problems are and just how the abusers get away with it in plain sight of the authorities.

Society is one giant asshole
A frustrating read but not in the critical sense, like a helpless fuming outrage. Those societal stereotypes that we all bury deep, we soon discover aren’t as deep as we once thought. Eye opening read.

heart breaking
listened to this in one sitting. it was a heart breaking, raw and honest story. A truly gripping tale and definitely not for the faint hearted.... be warned

Not for the faint hearted.
Extremely graphic however amazingly well written. Caitlin made me want to reach out and offer her the support and love she so desperately needed throughout the whole story. Reveals an uncomfortable truth and is not for the faint of heart. Kudos Caitlin, I hope you find peace xx

heartbreaking
this story was heartbreaking I listened all the way to the end with tears streaming down my face. highly recommended, this story needs to be heard. it's real and raw 😢

Brave Brave Girl
As a mother myself, I am horrified how parents, friends and family could not see what was happening. A heartbreaking tale of what can happen when kids / teens are neglected and parents get too busy. I know parenting is hard, growing up is also hard. I hope that anyone who has gone through this and survived that you can one day find peace and love in your life.

To survive what this woman did is astonishing. Caitlin is an amazing woman. I myself couldn’t imagine having to go through what she did and survive it.

Mind blowing
At times so hard to hear that these things still go on and that someone has had to go through this. But to put her life into a story and be so honest, i really hope you get the justice you deserve.
