Publisher's Summary
Comfort doesn’t mean safety, not in a world built from the remnants of the life they’ve left behind.
Eight years after the world changed forever, Sanctuary and her surrounding settlements had settled into their new way of life. And with the events in Andorra a distant memory, they were safe...or at least they thought they were.
As Leah recounts their highs and lows, the memories of that fateful day come flooding back. The day violence visited them from the sea in a way they could never have anticipated. The way in which their whole way of life was threatened, and she was forced to battle more than just the invaders to keep her people, her family, and herself safe.
The day Leah discovered something that would change her life forever.

Leah s Chronicals
This series - written a few years after the 'After It happened' series - In which 'Dan' was the man - is sensational.
'Dan' = Leah's adopted dad during the 'After it happened ' series was the ultimate mans man - tuff & ex military etc , etc.
But now, little Leah, who was a scared little girl - is now a scary trained (by Dan) killer of scum... Shes awesome!!
This series, narrated by the awesome 'Kate Reading' - is all based on Leah's view of life and the deadly situations she and her friends & family find themselves.
Well done D.C Ford, & R.C Bray.
You guys totally had me lost and loving the 'mental' & amazing story I drowned in!
Thank you both.

Better than previous entries, but a tad short.
The main flaw I found with previous entries in this series is that Dan and Leah, the two protagonists, would often act in a way or treat other people in a way that made be resent them, and a reader really shouldn't be resenting the protagonists of a story. Thankfully, both characters were well enough behaved in this story that that never occurred. The overall story of this book was enjoyable enough and different from the others, and the antagonists made for good enemies. There could have been more to the story though and it felt a little rushed overall, particularly the final act. And the constant leaping back and forth through time was a little jarring.

Great addition to the store
A great and very brutal addition to the story. I actually thought it ended at book 7. Book 8 feels like an expansion pack to dig deeper into the world
