Touching Love Story warts and all
5 stars for Beneath the Surface - Book 2 of the series. To paraphrase someone eloquent, Dear Gentlereader, this is not romance; it is a love story. Warning triggers alcoholism, suicide. This love story delves deeply into a long term relationship between two high achievers who have many textured and flawed layers. They are relatable and likeable and their story elicited the full gamut of emotions in me.
Quoting another eloquent someone “Falling is easy, staying in love is hard.” If you enjoy joining characters as they face challenge and sometimes succeed and sometimes miss the mark, and pick themselves up and go again. If you enjoy reading love and life warts and all. I recommend this to you. It has the HEA to look forward to.

Do we not have any Aussie narrator's around here?
This story is well written, and the characters quiet captivating, however the narration really ruined it for me. I would definitely recommend reading it, over listening to the audio book. A book set in Australia really should use an Australian narrator.
