Tia er mester i at efterligne stemmer. Faktisk er hun så god, at hun har fået tilnavnet Stemmetyven. Tias bedste ven Halvar er blevet bortført af den onde klanleder Tarelf, og ingen har tænkt sig at gøre noget for at redde ham. Nu vil Halvar blive kastet i Slangegraven, hvor den sikre død venter.
