Publisher's Summary

Born July 24, 1967, Pierre spends the first seven years of his life in Paris, France until his family moves to Little Rock, Arkansas. He endures the trials of living in America as he experiences racism and other pains of growing up, including losing his best friend just before reaching his teens.

He soon discovers the people who raised him are not his biological parents, but they are the great aunt and uncle of his mother. The painful struggle intensifies when his mother tells him that his father never wanted him, hence the reason his aunt raised him. He goes through life wondering if he will ever meet his father and build a relationship with him and his estranged seven siblings.

Each time things look promising with regards meeting his father, that promise is snatched away. He endures many challenges in his young life but the determination to finally meet his father will never die, especially when he uncovers the lies of his deceptive mother.
