Hard to get into
not the best book took me ages to get into it but was good and enjoyed it by the end I think other books has a better but if you want a good listen to it's worth it

Not for me
I couldn't get past the first chapter.... The (I believe) main character is so passive i was cringing! Now, that might be a sign that she has been portrayed as intended but obviously not for me.

Original story is a treat
Well I was not expecting that. This is an original story that has some great twists and turns I wasn’t expecting. It was a relief to not so easily work out the ending. But the book rolled along at a beautiful pace the narration was absolutely fantastic. The characters were likeable some not so. I could not recommend this title highly enough; enjoy.

Would be better read in book form
A bit disappointing. I feel this book would be better read in book form. The narrator was not strong enough and was monotone so a lot of the excitement of book was lost.

Sickeningly gripping from the very start
Very powerful writing, extensive vocabulary use and the storyline keeps you always guessing. The narrator uses great intonation and adds to this exceptional story. I couldn’t put it down.

Thrilling and unexpected
This book had me intrigued from the start. The direction of the narrative was completely unpredictable and had me guessing all the way to the end. It started with a violent, action packed incident from the first scene, and didn't relent for the whole book.
I thoroughly enjoyed every second and have downloaded the whole Karin Slaughter back catalogue now.

psychological thriller
Another great book from Karin Slaughter. strong characters, great storyline. Enjoyed the flashbacks to the 80s and the merging of storyline.
