About this listen

They came to earth—Pestilence, War, Famine, Death—four horsemen riding their screaming steeds, racing to the corners of the world. Four horsemen with the power to destroy all of humanity. They came to earth, and they came to end us all.

When Pestilence comes for Sara Burn’s town, one thing is certain: everyone she knows and loves is marked for death. Unless, of course, the angelic-looking horseman is stopped, which is exactly what Sara has in mind when she shoots the unholy beast off his steed.

Too bad no one told her Pestilence can’t be killed.

Now the horseman, very much alive and very pissed off, has taken her prisoner, and he’s eager to make her suffer. Only, the longer she’s with him, the more uncertain she is about his true feelings towards her, and hers towards him.

And now, well, Sara might still be able to save the world, but in order to do so, she'll have to sacrifice her heart in the process.

It’s Pestilence, not Pestulence…

I would have loved this so much more if the narrator could pronounce ‘Pestilence’ properly.

Fantastic listening experience

I want sure when I bought this title that it would be my cup of tea as they say, but the story brilliantly narrated drew me in entirely. it's captivating, exciting, frustrating, humerous, and sad all at the same time. I absolutely LOVED it. I've subsequently purchased the other three books in the series and have not been disappointed.

Surprisingly Sweet

I love me some morally grey man! This story was surprisingly sweet and a great slow burn, you could feel the tension. I did feel like it dragged on a little towards the end and I do wish there was a bit more creative spicy time. But overall a great story. The narrator did a great job at both characters. Looking forward to the next one!

Narration is on point

I wasn't expecting to enjoy this book so thoroughly. Susannah Jones narration took a pretty good story and took it to binge level 👌🏼
The story started quickly and I was engaged from the very beginning. The developing connection between Sara and Pestilence is tumultuous and savage in the early stages and develops into a sweet but troubled affection.
Now that I've started, I can't not read the rest of the series.

pestilence

Pestilence by Laura Thalassa. Everyone says that they cannot say no to a bad guy but what about a horseman?
Very well written and the speech and mannerisms of the horseman and just hilarious and even a bit cringy at times. Would recommend for anyone that enjoys a romance novels. Does anyone have a different opinion

Splendid performance!

I have to write a review to show how much I like Susannah Jones's performance! You nailed it!
I add all other books narrated by her to my wishlist when I finished this book, she is a magician with her charming voice!
