The characters and setting felt authentic. Not surprising when I later read the author lives in the area in which the story is set.

Loved, loved loved this book and this author! A treasure and as always Cat Gould brings all the characters to life. If there is ever to be my "perfect" book, this one will be it. Have relistened to four times now!

Really enjoyed this story much more than I expected. Full disclosure - the humour is often very dry Aussie tongue in cheek and it made me laugh out loud. I grew up on the Gold Coast before Logan became what it is today and perhaps the fact I’m an Aussie who has lived near the locations mentioned makes me much more receptive to this particular humour.
I enjoyed the characters both main and side ones. The age gap power gap trope is okay but the Aussie humour and Aussie performance really pushed it to 5 stars overall for me. Thanks for the fun!
