Publisher's Summary
Size matters.
Pixies are supposed to be petite, beautifully lithe creatures with gossamer wings. Sporting luscious, ombre pink hair and fluttering pink wings, Phil meets two out of three of those criteria. At over six feet tall, no one would dare call Phil petite.
As a home-and-hearth pixie, Phil yearns to find a home and family he can bond to. When no one's willing to hire a pixie of his stature, Phil is forced to find work elsewhere. Turns out, pixies make terrible bouncers.
The sudden death of Sedrick's brother and sister-in-law left Sedrick Voss a pack of one—plus two young, traumatized were-children. Sedrick needs help. He needs a home-and-hearth pixie. But pixies are small, delicate creatures nowhere near sturdy enough to stand up to a couple of growing werewolves. Phil seems like the perfect answer—a pixie that might be able to physically withstand small werewolf teeth and claws.
Phil is overjoyed, finally able to do a job that speaks to his heart and soul. But peace is a hard-won commodity. Sedrick is in the middle of a nasty custody battle with his niece and nephew's maternal grandfather—one of the most arrogantly deceitful werewolf alphas to ever lead a pack. If their grandfather gets custody, Sedrick's niece and nephew are in for a lifetime of manipulation.
Between the custody battle, noxiously invasive garden gnomes, and fairy lawyers, Phil and Sedrick struggle to keep their home and family safe. Werewolves and pixies don't mate. Phil and Sedrick are about to challenge that misconception.

Loved the narration
Perfectly Imperfect Pixie was an entertaining listen, made more enjoyable by fantastic performances from both narrators ( I decided to listen after seeing this audiobook recommended multiple times ).
Family drama is one of the driving forces of the storyline. however it’s really not that dramatic. Also very low on the steam scale ( basically non existent ), however that did not detract from the storyline at all. Loved the x2 main characters, who were perfect for each other even though they couldn’t be more different!

Good book
I don’t overly like the different voices per chapter because I end up like one of the narrators more than the other and want to skip the chapters where it the other voice narrator

Engaging
I loved this story. I enjoyed thia so much I am takingnmy time to leave a review which I rarely do. I have hopped around the lgbtq+ space of fantasy romance, so some of the obvious tropes tend to grate on me. This was new and refreshing. The world building had such an inherent intergeity to it. I fully believed that the careers and inclinations of various different species were spot on. The two main characters were allowed time to breathe and develop without stagnating. The narration of each character added charm and soul to the character without being jarringly different or abrasive. I am very impressed by this Audiobook and will be buying the next in the series immediately.

Unexpected delight
This was a definite wildcard selection after reading some more emotionally demanding titles. Thinking oh well, if it’s too awful I can just wipe it, however l found myself really invested in it! Amazing mix of characters that undercut the intrinsic whimsicality, an unexpected story line that kept me listening! I really enjoyed every moment of listening!

Wonderful Paranormal.
Phil and Sedrick are forever etched onto my heart. I loved the book, it was on my Books of the Year. The audiobook was a bonus because I didn’t know it had even come out until I accidentally saw it here as I cruised for my next audiobook. The contemporary paranormal world building was so easy to embrace and the characters just so wonderful, antagonist excluded. I would have preferred one narrator because they gave different voices to the one character, depending on who’s chapter it was, and I had to adjust. That’s a personal quibble because honestly, I’m just glad it was made into audiobook. A must listen.

Actions speak louder than words
This was an incredibly sweet story that showed a slow loving relationship created between not only the 2 MC's but the found family also.
listened to this all in one session so drawn into the story to make sure these lovable characters got their happily ever after. Truly a joy to listen to

I'm a sucker for good guardian/parent stories
As the title says, I love a good guardian story where the kids are involved in a decent part of the book. And this one does that very well! None of the whole have kids only when convenient and then suddenly forget them when it's not trope. They are very much woven into the plot.
The story itself is fun with an interesting world. Sometimes the storytelling was a bit off. Some info dumping when it didn't really match what was going on in the story. And while it's is definitely a slow burn romance, the switch to a relationship felt a tad bit too fast. Overall though, a fun slow burn romance about some truly caring caregivers.
Both narrators were great! I just find 2 narrators can be a bit jarring as all of the voices will be different when the other is speaking. Hence 4 stars rather than 5.

Too slow and frustrating for me
I think this book has a good setting, characters and performances. The beginning of the story makes sense however after that things really slow down. The slow progression of the plot or character development feels almost like a lack of trust from the writer that the audience will understand. Even the simplest or smallest things are stated and restated again and again almost making me feel like math class and the teacher is trying to teach a complex topic to a class he thinks is too stupid to understand. Finally the setting of mythical modern American is interesting but shallow. It doesn't feel like a world that has existed before the events of the story, there are elements from a fantasy world and then elements from out own, they rarely feel like they're from the same place.
