About this listen
Stephen Berry is about to jump off a bridge until a suicide prevention counsellor stops him. A week later, Stephen is dead. Found at the bottom of a cliff, DI Luc Callanach and DCI Ava Turner are drafted in to investigate whether he jumped or whether he was pushed…
As they dig deeper, more would-be suicides roll in: a woman found dead in a bath; a man violently electrocuted. But these are carefully curated deaths – nothing like the impulsive suicide attempts they’ve been made out to be.
Little do Callanach and Turner know how close their perpetrator is as, across Edinburgh, a violent and psychopathic killer gains more confidence with every life he takes…
Includes the short story Lost Property read by the author.
An unstoppable crime thriller from the #1 bestseller. The perfect read for fans of Karin Slaughter and M. J. Arlidge.

Fantastic!! Again, fast, believable and totally gripping. Come on Ava, pull yourself together!
It’s time to wake up and smell the roses! I can’t wait to start the next book (in about 10mins). Fabulous series Helen, congratulations!!

Too much emotional drama
This story was satisfactory but not as good as previous stories. The author got to stuck on the relationships of Luc and Ava. Plus really a hand grenade I think that was a bit over the top especially as the DCI sustained minor injuries and was back at work as though nothing had happened. Hope the next one is better

Focused too much on relationships
I have enjoyed all of the seies in order and eagerly started this one. I was disappointed. The main characters relationships distracted from the plot.
In this story, there were too many new team members/characters and the voices were inconsistant. My hope is that the next will be as exciting as the first 4.
