About this listen
1508
Sebastian Drake, stoic protector of the Drake family, always gets what he wants - and there is nothing he wants more than the half-starved Pedigree omega named Peregrine he comes across on his travels. It doesn’t matter that Peregrine is a disgrace. Sebastian will do whatever it takes to keep him...and somehow, as impossible as it might be, find a way to be his mate.
Present Day
For hundreds of years, Peregrine has enjoyed life as Sebastian’s mate. Sure, as one of the only bonded omegas in recent history, he’s been kidnapped more times than he can count, but with Sebastian there to save him, it’s little more than an inconvenience. And attacks from hostile clans? That’s just a typical Tuesday.
But there is one thing Peregrine fears yet desperately wants.
One thing that has hurt him time and time again.
One thing Sebastian can’t save him from.
And now it’s happening again.
He’s pregnant.
Peregrine is an 85,000 word omegaverse mpreg romance set prior to as well as following the events of the Forbidden Desires series. It has answers to questions you’ve been dying to know, and contains heartache, laughter, origin stories, meddling reptilian families with huge hearts, exotic locales, a dash of danger, and a love story 500 years in the making. For maximum enjoyment, Peregrine is best enjoyed following the events of Clutch, Bond, Mate, Swallow, Magpie, and Finch.

Great to get Sebastian & Perry’s story, but could have been a little tighter!
Omega ‘disgrace’, Peregrine has his life turned around when Sebastian Drake falls in instalove with him in 1508. Over 500 years later their relationship is as strong as ever despite hundreds of miscarriages - Perry has been able to sire dragons but not dragonettes, and now he is pregnant with another dragonette. The mysterious Raven has been targeting the Drake family and has his sights set on Sebastian and Perry - what will it take to protect their family? It was a joy to spend more time with the Drake clan and I loved the flashbacks to the 1500s to learn Perry’s backstory. I was intrigued by the Raven storyline but it is largely unresolved by the end of this book - I’m guessing the next book will be called Raven? While it was sweet to see so much of Perry and Sebastian’s loving relationship, I did find the story a little repetitive at times and was glad when we moved on to the next action. Michael Ferraiuolo worked his usual audio magic and he made the story sparkle. I love his ‘Sean Connery’s Bond’ accent for Bertram so I’m looking forward to his story!

Not a good book
I have over 550 audiobooks and have never posted a bad review. Sadly l can't say that anymore. I love Alice Winters books and there are only 2 other books that just weren't my cup of tea. Not that l hated them, it's just not the type of story l liked. This series has been a great joy to listen to. I have greatly enjoyed the Drake families love stories with Bond being one of my all time favourite books. But I must say this book was a big disappointment for me. The story is all over the place telling Perri's story. It wasn't the fun snarky love story we have all loved in this series. It was a very serious story that jumped around with the long timeline. I was hoping that we would get another book about the last brother that would be a bit of James Bond but that has been shut down with great hatred. It's like she decided that she hated this series and decided to say f it and crush the story we had been waiting on with this one story. Disappointed.
