About this listen
Maya Augustine needed to disappear - her life depended on it.
When her path led her to the middle-of-nowhere Virginia, she found the perfect place to hide. A woman on the run, Maya had no business befriending anyone, let alone allowing herself to become involved with a man...especially after her last experience. Even so, she couldn’t help but become obsessed with the bruised, battered, and beautiful killer who walked into her life.
Grady Cain reached rock bottom. His past finally caught up with him, causing him to lose his edge at work and in life. Spiraling down a desperate path of remorse and guilt, Grady wasn’t expecting his refuge to come in the form of a woman. Day in, day out, she was the only thing he’d allowed himself to think about. To focus on. To consume him.
One was running. The other had nothing to run to. Until these troubled souls crossed paths...and two paths became one.
The Killers series is intended for mature listeners.

great story
i liked this book but found the intensity in this book wasn't as strong as crews story whereas I thought it would be as Grady is described as a tortured soul in book 1 but its obviously done while he's alone and just getting to know Maya through surveillance.
There is a lot of the angst but not as suspenseful as Addies story.
I liked the pace and I enjoyed getting to know Maya. I connected with her but I struggled to feel for Grady like I did Crew. although I must say Crew and Grady must have discussed their steam coz there are a lot if similarities...just sayin.
I knew the baddie was going to appear near the end and that was. exciting.
The comedy centering around mayas partime work is a an absolute hoot.
it's getting very family orientated toward the end which leads us toward Asa.
narrator's were superb. I'm really enjoying kit and her voices..she's fast becoming a fave.
Loved the characters and looking forward to Asa and his story
