Publisher's Summary

'I'm telling you now: I'm never having another boyfriend - ever!'

Libby is on a man-fast: no more romance, no more cheating men, no more heartbreak. After all, she has her three best girlfriends and two cats to keep her company at night and her high-powered job at the National Aboriginal Gallery in Canberra to occupy her day - isn't that enough?

But when fate takes Libby to work in Paris at the Musée du Quai Branly, she's suddenly thrown out of her comfort zone and into a city full of culture, fashion and love. Surrounded by thousands of attentive men, nude poets, flirtatious baristas and smooth-tongued lotharios, romance has suddenly become a lot more tempting.

On top of it all, there's a chauvinist colleague at the Musée who challenges Libby's professional ability and diplomatic skills. Then there's Libby's new friend, Sorina, a young Roma gypsy, desperate to escape deportation.

Libby must protect her work record and her friend, but can she protect herself from a broken heart?

Love

I’m loving the writing and the storytelling. I did not enjoy the narrator. She struggled with a French accent and the pronunciation of French words and that was painful to listen to. It spoiled a lovely story

Contemporary First Australian Women

Another great story with incredible insight into contemporary First Australian women set amongst a culture we need to learn more about. Strong, driven role models with great characters, warm friendships with a knowledgeable setting within the modern art world. The story is enhanced even more by the narration.

Absolutely love it!

This book kept me interested and hanging most of the way through. I loved the story, I felt like I was with her every step of the way, talked about places I had been to and knew well. I loved the way the narrator spoke (Miah Madden) I wanted to meet her and go hang out with her.

I'm listening to it again now. I love the art work on the cover, very fitting for the story indeed.

Fun and light-hearted

This was a great read! The only thing I didn't like was how the main character would overreact and no one pulled her up for it, seemed a bit narcissistic. Otherwise the story was super fun, especially when travel is limited at the moment 😊

This navigated through multiple relationships other than just intimate relationships- feminine friendships, career, culture and home!
