Publisher's Summary
The Orthodox Christian tradition is filled with wisdom and guidance about the biblical path of salvation. Yet this guidance remains largely inaccessible to parents and often disconnected from the parenting challenges we face in our homes. Parenting Toward the Kingdom will help you make the connections between the spiritual life as we understand it in the Orthodox Church and the ongoing challenges of raising children. It takes the best child development research and connects it with the timeless truths of our Christian faith to offer you real strategies for navigating the challenges of daily life.

Best Parenting Book Ever
Even as an Orthodox Christian, this book helped me completely reframe my beliefs around what parenting is and what the daily goals should be as a parent. However, I would also gladly recommend this book to my non-believing friends as it contains insights missing from most secular advice I have come across.
I was worried that this book would contain a million tactics and “hacks” like most parenting books that I couldn’t possibly keep on my mind in the daily grind of being a full time parent. Instead, I found it contained an easily adoptable world view that easily replaces all previously held misconceptions. It does however also contain plenty of really handy principles and real world scenarios, which you will want to write down so keep a notepad and a pen handy.
I’m going to get my wife to read/listen to this book also so we’re on the same page and I look forward to us implementing these in our parenting journey.
