Publisher's Summary

Nothing ever changes in Sanders. The town's still got a video store, for God's sake.

So why doesn't Eli Teague want to leave?

Not that he'd ever admit it, but maybe he's been waiting - waiting for the traveler to come back. The one who's roared into his life twice before, pausing just long enough to drop tantalizing clues before disappearing in a cloud of gunfire and a squeal of tires. The one who's a walking anachronism, with her tricorne hat, flintlock rifle, and steampunked Model A Ford.

The one who's being pursued by...something.

So when the mysterious traveler finally reappears, Eli's determined that this time, he's going to get some answers. But his hunt soon yields far more than he bargained for, plunging him headlong into a dizzying world full of competing factions and figures straight out of legend.

To make sense of the mystery at its heart, he must embark on a breakneck chase across the country and through two centuries of history - with nothing less than America's past, present, and future at stake.

Awesome. Really enjoyed this book, surely a sequel could follow with that ending!

Not 'FOLD' or '14' but still worth waiting for.

The imagination in the story was great. The light touch use of tech was good. Characters you cared about. The satire of the 'faceless men' was intriguing. As I said in the title, I enjoyed 14 and Fold more but still enjoyed Paradox. I have to admit that I was half expecting a seven limbed bug to appear at any moment😀. Looking forward to the next Clines ...

Hiram Holiday esque

A girl and a boy and a car (Oh my!). A happier american legend on a road-trip. A bit like Miss Hiram Holliday travelling Glory Road. I missed the dog... not a Savannah cat in sight.

amazing!

I really didn't want this book to end. I loved the characters and plot, and of course Ray Porter's narration, as always

Loved this book!

I'm a sucker for stories on time travel so I'm probably bias but I absolutely loved this book. I'm not from the US so I enjoyed hearing the descriptions of the different landscapes. Performanceorter was first class as well.

Great for car nerds that are into Scifi

Absolutely perfect, Ray Porter is an amazing narrator and the story was keeping me engaged the whole way through.
I especially liked the details about the cars being a bit of a petrol head and hope so much for a sequel.

Another great Peter Clines novel

Peter Clines is one of my favourite authors and his style delights me anew with every work he writes.
This one was a slow burn to start however once it built momentum, it was un-put-downable.
Ray Porter as always, is the perfect narrator.

Fun ride

Paradoxes are often hard to explain so that everybody understands what you are describing but Peter has done a masterful job of writing a whole book based on them and still keeps it light , fun & linear enough that all readers should be able to follow. Definitely a great read.
