About this listen

While the crew of the starship Flying Dutchman have been trying to assure that hostile aliens do not have access to Earth, the UN Expeditionary Force has been stranded on the planet they nicknamed "Paradise".

The Flying Dutchman is headed back out on another mission, and the UN wants the ship to find out the status of the humans on Paradise. But Colonel Joe Bishop warns that they might not like what they find, and they can't do anything about it without endangering Earth.

this series has grown on me

Columbus day wasn't my usual taste in books, but after reading the reviews on it I have it a shot, it was worth it. it wasn't till the second book in the series did I get hooked, the character development is the most important part of this series. give it a try.

Most enjoyable.

Can't remember when a story gripped my imagination with such force. Skippy for Prime Minister.

Meh but addictive

Poorly structured storyline. More fiction than science. Needs a good editor. But despite the flaws I can't stop listening.

Sci-fi that rocks

R.C.Bray's delivery sets a benchmark (again) in humorous, character driven delivery. The story is still much of the same, if you e read the first three- and it feels like Craig Alanson is milking this concept for all it's worth. Despite that there are a great many Lough out loud moments - Skippy should win a prize of his own for most memorable character. If you've read the first two books you'll like this one. If you haven't, get amongst it.

Good mix of humour and hard Sci Fi

This eries does a good job of combining military Sci Fi with a bit of humour - always difficult to do. Well written and performed. Liked it.
