Brilliant
My new fave author and set in the same world as her other books. Gorgeous way with words and wonderful believable characters. Give this one a go you won’t be disappointed (and get ready to buy all the others)

Beautiful, heartwarming story
If you’re looking for a story of real, flawed and broken people facing up to the cruel realities of life while keeping their sense of humour and their integrity, you could do far worse. This story touched my heart in ways few have in recent years.

Lots of dry humour, interesting take on Paladins. Going to find the next one now. Would thoroughly recommend

Predictable story but decent read
Enjoyable listen but the plot/mystery can be predictable. I found the connection between the two protagonists to be charming but again, a bit predictable. A lot of ‘will they won’t they’ that drags for perhaps a bit too long in my opinion.

The stakes were real but such a warming story
Really enjoyed it. It got gross and gory but was still such a heartwarming read. Not quite cozy fantasy, but really close.

Hmmm
I flip flopped throughout this story in whether I loved it or not. in the end I'm glad that I got it 'free' as part of thr Audible Plus catalog. I love the authors recent books and the concept of this trilogy jumped out at me, but in the end I don't think I will continue onto buying the next 2 books as I don't want to read or hear a romance based story with explicit scenes.
