Publisher's Summary
Cursing the familial obligation that sent her into the path of a blizzard, Jackie Frakes is deeply grateful for rescue on a snow-choked mountain road, even if her rescuer's reception is as cold as the landscape.
Leah Beck spends her days in a twilight of grief, actively avoiding all reminders of her former life as an artist whose work was exhibited nationwide. A houseguest for Thanksgiving is disruptive and painful, and the very last thing she wanted.
The snowbound weekend leaves them with an unforgettable, undeniable attraction that challenges both of their personal and professional commitments. Leah turns to her art with renewed inspiration while Jackie seizes control of her future. But will these new paths lead back to each other? Or will that stunning weekend together be their last?

Chapter 30
The sudden appearance of Jacki is confusing. There was no reaction from Lee, which there should have been. We just found it a bit odd and had to re listen to clarify her arrival. The rest of the story was fabulous and we loved it !!

Great story with a lovely international tour and fun adventures
I’ve been a Kallmaker fan for longer than I would like to admit.😀 I loved the story, the characters and the adventures. Granada Spain was a highlight for me as I have been there. And the Russian cowboys.. well that was a hoot. Bravo. A great listen

A story in three parts
This story had its strengths the characters for example but the plot seemed disjointed. The cabin section the best for me. The San Francisco section was solid but really needed to work on the story development on the early stage. The very last 2 chapters following their get together was disappointing, confusing and to be honest unsatisfying. Because following their admission of love there is a gap which cannot be resolved by the Mum saying you’re engaged now so guess. Just needs some further development but that’s just my view.
